- Staff wellbeing days, where staff can learn how to de-stress during they day and hope important it is to make a demarkation from the end of the school week to the beginning of their own time at home.
Yoga for primary school classes are fun and informative, working on improving children's awareness with their bodies, balance, concentration and posture. Throughout the classes focus is also brought in on topics such as; non violence, how to handle anger, truthfulness, working together as a group to support each other. Awareness of our actions and other topics that feed into many areas in the school curriculum. Many schools have found that pupils concentrate to a far greater degree after their yoga practice and parents find that their children learn how to handle anxiety and other emotions through the practice of yoga.
Yoga and mindfulness for Secondary School incorporates specific postures for helping cope with stress, either from exams or the pressure of growing up in today's environment. Mediation and breath work give a takeaway to the teens that can help them cope in many situations in and outside of school.
Yoga for school staff
Yoga and mindfulness for teachers. The sessions I offer are relaxation based rather than exercise. They can be offered during an inset day or a regular class after school to help alleviate the overwhelming stress that teachers can find themselves dealing with. They will be able to participate in a wonderfully calming and rejuvenating yoga class (open to bodies of all shapes, sizes and flexibility!). Apart from being a great introduction into yoga, some of the basic yoga techniques can be transferred easily and shared with the children in a classroom situation.
