Q. How to prepare for your yoga class
- Make sure you leave at least 2hrs between eating a heavy meal or 1 hour and a light meal before doing your yoga class. Some yoga postures will squeeze the internal organs as well as muscles, if you've just eaten this can make you feel very uncomfortable.
- Wear loose or easy to move in clothing. Layering is a good idea as you will get hot during your practice but will cool down very quickly during relaxation. It is not necessary to have an entirely new wardrobe for yoga, you just need to be comfortable!
- We do yoga in bare feet, so no special footwear is needed.
- A yoga mat will be provided initially, but you will need to get one eventually.
- Arrive a few minutes early so that we can have a chat about any body niggles you might have. Then I can make sure you are comfortable in all the asana.

Q. Do I need to be bendy?
Not at all. The wonderful thing about yoga is that the practice is your own, you are not competing with anyone else in the class. You work within the limits of your own body. It is not necessary to be able to tuck your foot behind your ear in order to be a yogi!!
